HAND BRAKE / PARKING BRAKE

Hand or parking brakes operate independently of standard foot brakes. Such brakes are used on slopes and other parking and other emergency situations. The same brake shoes used for running foot brakes are used for parking brakes. Special shoes are used for parking brakes on some types of vehicles

Mechanical type brakes are used as hand brakes. Parking brakes are provided on the rear brakes of most types of vehicles. The handbrake lever is mounted on the side of the driver's seat. Pictured is a parking back system. The lever moves freely from the ratchet when the driver pulls the lever by pressing the button provided on the brake lever.Thus the primary cable operates the brake compensators. As a result of the brake compensators pulling the secondary cables, a special mechanism operated by the parking brakes pushes the brake shoes against the drum. This makes the break possible.


ഹാൻഡ്  അല്ലെങ്കിൽ പാർക്കിങ്ങ് ബ്രേക്ക്   സാധാരണ ഫൂട്ട് ബ്രേക്കുകളിൽ നിന്നും സ്വതന്ത്രമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവയാണ്. ഇത്തരം ബ്രേക്കുകൾ ചരിവുകളിലും മറ്റും വാഹനം നിർത്തുന്നതിനും മറ്റ് അത്യാവശ്യഘ ട്ടങ്ങളിലും ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഫുട്ട്  ബ്രേക്കുകൾ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന അതേ ബ്രേക്ക് ഷൂകൾ തന്നെയാണ് പാർക്കിങ്ങ് ബ്രേക്കുകൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ചിലതരം വാഹനങ്ങളിൽ പാർക്കിങ്ങ് ബ്രേക്കിനുവേണ്ടി പ്രത്യേകം ഷൂകൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട്.

മെക്കാനിക്കൽ തരം ബ്രേക്കുകളാണ് ഹാൻഡ് ബ്രേക്കുകളായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. മിക്കവാറും തരം വാഹനങ്ങളിലും പുറകിലെ ബ്രേക്കു കളിലാണ് പാർക്കിങ്ങ് ബ്രേക്കുകൾ നൽകുന്നത്. ഡ്രൈവറുടെ സീറ്റിന്റെ വശത്തായിട്ടാണ് ഹാൻഡ് ബ്രേക്ക് ലിവർ നൽകുന്നത്. ചിത്രത്തിൽ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് ഒരു പാർക്കിങ്ങ് ബേക്ക് വ്യവസ്ഥയാണ്. ഡ്രൈവർ ബ്രേക്ക് ലിവറിൽ നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്ന ബട്ടൺ അമർത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് ലിവറിനെ വലിക്കു മ്പോൾ ലിവർ റാച്ചറ്റിൽ നിന്ന്  സ്വതന്ത്രമായി ചലിക്കുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രൈമറി കേബിൾ ബ്രേക്ക് കോംപൻസേറ്ററുകളെ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ബ്രേക്ക്   കോമ്പൻസേറ്ററുകൾ സെക്കന്ററി കേബിളുകളെ വലിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ ഫലായി പാർക്കിങ്ങ് ബ്രേക്കുകൾ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പ്രത്യേക മെക്കാനിസം ബ്രേക്ക്  ഷൂകളെ ഡ്രമ്മിനെതിരായി അകത്തുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ ബ്രേക്ക്  സാധ്യമാക്കുന്നു.

  AIM : Head light circuit TOOLS & MATERIALS REQUIRED : 1. Wire striper 2. Combination plier 3. Screw driver (+,-) 4. Wire(required) 5. Head light switch 6. Dipper switch 7. Relay - 6 leg 8. Insulation tape 9. Battery 12v 10. Head lamp 12v Diagram PROCEDURE 1. ബാറ്ററിയുടെ +ve ടെർമിനലിൽ നിന്നും fuse വഴി relay യിലേക്കും head light സ്വിച്ചിലേക്കും red wire ഉപയോഗിച്ച് connect ചെയ്യുക. 2. Head light സ്വിച്ചിൽ നിന്നും dipper സ്വിച്ചിന്റെ center point ലേക്ക് red wire ഉപയോഗിച്ച് connect ചെയ്യുക. 3. Relay യുടെ dim, bright connection യഥാക്രമം dipper switch ന്റെ Low, High ബിം പോയിന്റിലേക് connect ചെയ്യുക. 4. അതിനുശേഷം Head light ൽ നിന്നുള്ള loop ചെയ്ത High beam Low beam വയറുകൾ relay യുടെ high, low beam വയറിലേക് ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുക. 5. Relay യിൽ നിന്നുള്ള -ve ഉം, head light ൽ നിന്നുള്ള -ve ഉം യോചിപ്പിച്ചു battery യുടെ -ve ടെർമിനലിലേക് connect ചെയ്യുക. RESULT HEAD LIGHT CIRCUIT വിജയകരമായി പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചു.
