ELECTRICAL OPERATION IN CLUTCH ( MAGNETIC CLUTCH)

Image
MAIN PARTS 1. FLYWHEEL 2. WINDING 3. CLUTCH PALTE 4. PRESSURE PLATE CONSTRUCTION In this type of clutch operation, a winding is provided on flywheel. Also the clutch plate is placed in between flywheel and pressure plate. The winding is connected a switch in the gear lever through engine dinamo. The switch is always in closed condition . WORKING  In electro magnetic clutch, the winding on the fly wheel produces a electro magnetic filed. It attracts the pressure plate towards the flywheel. When the engine rpm increases, more current flows through the circuit. It helps the winding to produce more electromagnetic flex. When the driver changes the gear, the switch on the gear lever become open condition. It causes to cut off the circuit in the winding on flywheel. So the magnetic filed in the winding is removed. It causes to make a gap between clutch plate and fly wheel. So the power from the engine can't be transmit at this time. ഇലക്ട്രിക്കൽ ഓപ്പറേഷൻ പ്രധാന ഭാഗങ്ങൾ 1. ക്ല...

AIM :  TO MAKE A STEP - JOINT TOOLS REQUIRED 1. STEEL RULE & SCRIBER 2. TRY SQUARE & DOT PUNCH 3. 8" BASTARD FLAT FILE 4. 6" SMOOTH FLAT FILE 5. 6" SMOOTH TRIANGULAR FILE 6. SAFE EDGE FILE 7. HACK SAW BLADE & FRAME 8. BALL PEEN HAMMER MATERIALS REQUIRED 1. 62 x 50 x 5 mm M. S. FLAT (2Nos.) 2. MARKING BLUE 3. COTTON WASTE PROCEDURE 1. CUT OFF THE WORK PIECES FROM THE GIVEN RAW MATERIAL BY USING A HACK SAW BLADE AND FRAME. ALSO MARK THE RAW MATERIAL AS THE DIMENSION OF 62mm. LENGTH. 2. THEN FILE ANY TWO MUTUAL SIDES PERPENDICULAR TO EACH OTHER BY USING A 12" BASTARD FLAT FILE. 3. THE PERPENDICULARITY IS CHECKED BY USING A TRY SQUARE. 4. AFTER FILING THE DATUM SIDES MARK THE WORK PIECES AS PER THE GIVEN DRAWING BY USING A VERNIER HEIGHT GAUGE. ALSO APPLY THE MARKING BLUE IN TO THE SURFACE OF WORK PIECE FOR BETTER CLARITY. 5. THEN PUNCH THE MARKED LINES WITH THE HELP OF A PRICK PUNCH AND BALL PEEN HAMMER. 6. THEN REMOVE THE UNWANTED AREA OF WORK ...

HYDRAULIC OPERATION IN CLUTCH

Image
MAIN PARTS 1. Master cylinder 2. Slave cylinder 3. Fluid reservoir 4. Flexible hose CONSTRUCTION   The figure shows a line diagram of a hydraulically operated clutch. Such clutches are mostly used in heavy vehicles. This helps to reduce the driver's stress when disengaging large clutches. The master cylinder is connected to the slave cylinder with a flexible hose as shown in the figure. The reservoir is provided above the master cylinder. WORKING When the driver presses the clutch pedal, the pedal  activates the master cylinder. The master cylinder pumps the hydraulic fluid filled into the fluid reservoir and delivers it to the slave cylinder. At this point the piston in the slave cylinder moves forward and the clutch release fork moves and the clutch disengages.

MECHANICAL OPERATION IN CLUTCH

Image
MAIN PARTS 1. Clutch pedal 2. Linkages 3. Adjusting nut 4. Release fork 5. Release bearing CONSTRUCTION The figure shows a simple operation of mechanically operated type clutches. In this the clutch pedal is connected to the release fork through some linkages. And is directly attached to the fork release bearing. An adjustment nut is provided on the bottom of the clutch pedal or on the side of the fork to adjust the clutch free pedal play. The force exerted by the driver on the clutch pedal reaches the release fork through some levers. The release bearing does not rest on the release levers as soon as the driver presses the foot on the pedal. The distance this release bearing travels free is known as free pedal play. Vehicles usually come with 25mm - 35mm free pedal play. The levers are adjusted so that 10 to 12 times the force applied to the driver's pedal is applied to the release fork. WORKING The force exerted by the driver on the clutch pedal reaches the clutch fork...
